Day 9 - Mae Sariang - Chiang Mai - 270 km

Unfortunately our last riding day. On the way back to Chiang Mai we rode up to the highest peak of Thailand ,the over 2500 meters high Doi Inthanon with a great view from the top. One more really twisty road lead us back to our starting point. The biggest challenge was the city traffic in the heat, but everybody made it safe back to the hotel.

The tour is over and we had a great time in the Land of smile.

Day 8 - Pai - Mae Sariang - 280 km

The Mae Hongson loop today was even better than the road of the thousand curves yesterday. So much fun to ride. And on top of it we visited a Long Neck hilltribe village by boat and had lunch there. At night we had a candlelight dinner because the whole town was without electricity for quite a while

Day 7 - Doi Angkhang - Pai - 280 km

Another full riding day with some challenging backroads and the road of the thousand curves. But we still had time to swim in a beautiful waterfall and have a nice lunch in the wilderness cafe.

Day 6 - Chiang Khong - Doi Angkhang - 300 km

A day full of highlights,  Golden Triangle,  where Laos,   Myanmar and Thailand Meeting, famous for opium production in the past, riding along the Myanmar border on old smuggler trails and of course excellent riding all day long. We ended up in Doi Angkhang,  a royal projekt with the royal gardens. A spektakular very steep road led us up here.

Day 5 - Nan - Chiang Khong - 330 km

Today we went North following the border to Laos for a weile and enjoying the lookout of Pu Chi Fa, a vertical cliff at the Lao border. To be honest, not everybody did the steep climb up to the top. The rest of the day was pure riding fun. We reichen the famous Mekong in the afternoon and the dinner at the Mekong terrasse of our hotel was very nice.

Day 4 - Restday in Nan - 290 km

Our first and only restday of the tour,  but only very few had a rest, the rest went South along the boarder to Laos on fantastic roads. A little rain shower but mostly dry. We had a very local lunch along the way and all the riders were happy after that ride.

Day 3 Chiang Kham -  Nan - 300 km

A day in motorcycle paradise. The highlight 1148 is a dream road, really twisty with great scenery. Rollercoaster like it is meandering through the jungle and over the mountains.

What a perfect day!

Day 2

Chiang Mai - Chiang Kam - 310 km

The first day on the road. Intense city traffic out of Chiang Mai, than great roads in the mountains, lunch at a waterfall and a nice dinner at Rico Resort.

This has been a great ride so far. We had no idea that Thailand had such great roads. Goat trails to follow?
