Day 13 - our last riding day from Kaprun to Seefeld

The owner of our hotel gave us a great "Race" start in the morning with lightning the Olympic fire in front of the hotel. Our way today brought us to Gerlos high alpine road and Grimsel waterfalls. Big vanilla ice cream with strawberries at our first coffee stop made us ready for Zillertaler Höhenstrasse, a small and winding road. We crossed again the border to Germany in direction to Achensee, Sylvensteinspeicher and Vorderriß. From there on our route brought us back to Seefeld where Claudia waited with a boot beer for us in front of the hotel. What a great ride and sunny 14 days riding through the alps!!!

Our morning ride follows along the Aosta Valley towards the western flats of the river Po. Passing by the big fort Bard, which guarded the valley in former times from their enemies. Grand Alps Tour

On last Sunday we all met in Seefeld for the Grand Alps Tour, which takes us through Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Lichtenstein and the wonderfull landscape around the Alpine lakes. Everybody is looking forward to driving on the challanging alpine roads and collect as many as they can.

On our first riding day we went from Seefeld to Galtür. We took it easy, because of the first riding day and to get used to the new motorcycles. Our first stop was at the office and the garage in Mieming, where we said a big "HELLO" to the staff.

Then our route brought us over the Fernpass into the valley Namlos, "valley without name" to our lunchspot in Warth at "Jägeralpe".

Finally we arrived in Galtür at Hotel Post, where Franz gave us a warm welcome and showed us how easy it is to park a motorcycle by turning it 360° on the side stand.

Day 2

On this morning the weather turned out very well and we climbed up Bieler Höhe on the Silvretta high alpine road. We followed the valley towards Bludenz and stopped for a coffee in Feldkirch.
