The tour through Innsbruck the day before the tour start
Before a tour start, I hear the riders of a tour say how much they were looking forward to coming over to Europe, doing this motorcycle tour of their dreams, and to finally get ready to ride.
Same as we are looking forward to riding a motorcycle in all these beautiful alpine areas each time anew. But, to be honest, I can't deny that the Grand Alps Tour is this one tour among all the Edelweiss Alps tours in the brochure, which makes me hopping around in excitement before the tour start myself, having this itch to finally get started
Starting out of Seefeld in Austria, we will be riding through the Alps during the next 2 weeks, and through countries such as Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy. We sure will have an awesome time
The tourguides Angela, James and Dieter welcome you and are happy to guide you through the GRAND ALPS!

Marty, Julie and Steve decided to take the train down to Innsbruck with tour guide Angela.

Even though it was not a bright and sunny day, we escaped the rain all day long

The "Triumphpforte" before you get closer to the old town of Innsbruck

Approaching the famous "Golden Roof"

The city tower has 133 steps taking you up all the way to the top. the two floors nearest to the ground used to serve as a prison during the 15th century. But the top part was used by the guard to watch the town for potential fires. The last active guard served until 1967.

The "Tirol Panorama" is a museum dedicated mostly to the time of World War I and the period after that. It houses a 360° painting of the fights the famous Andreas Hofer commanded back then.

The deceptively real-looking set of the war at the Bergisel near Innsbruck back then in the early 19th century.

And here he is... South Tyrol's national hero Andreas Hofer

Innsbruck's very impressive ski jump was a real highlight to Marty, Julie and Steve
