Day 1 - Arrival in Chiang Mai

Everbody from the group made it safe to tour start.

Wael from Libanon, David and his son Nathan from the US, David also from US, Fabian and Mariella from Costa Rica, Jari from Finland/US and James from England. Quite an international group! After the welcome briefing and our first dinner, we are excited about the tour start tomorrow!

Day 2 - Chiang Mai - Chiang Kham - 305 km

A perfect first day! No misshaps and everybody enjoyed the ride. After we managed the city traffic of Chiang Mai, we had a lot of fun on the twisty roads in the mountains. A great noodle soup for lunch at a waterfall and a short introduction to Budhism at a every special temple in the countryside. The  bootbeer at Rico Resort was the perfect end of a great day.

And after the barbecue with live music, what else can you ask for?

Day 3 - Chiang Kham - Nan - 310 km

Today we did the famous road 1148, one of the 10 best motorcycle roads in the world. We had a lot of fun and the whole group was doing great. Exhausted but happy we arrived in Nan, where we will stay two nights.

Day 4 - Restday Nan - 280 km

Nearly the whole group went for the spectacular restday ride and did not have a real rest. The loop brought us close to the Lao border on some challenging roads .

In the afternoon we visited a beautiful coloured canyon and took some nice pics.

Day 5 - Nan - Chiang Khong - 335 km

Another riding day in paradise! We rode North  through beautiful mountain scenery, lunch at a waterfall and countless curves. In the afternoon we went along the Lao border and met the Mekong for the first time.

A special lookout point called Pu Chi Fa was just stunning

Day 6 - Chiang Khong - Mae Ai - 240 km

After the long day yesterday,  we had a a more relaxing day,  but still full of highlights. A gorgeous temple at the Mekong in the morning, the Golden Triangle, lunch at a girl scout camp, afternoon tea in a tea plantation and of course excellent riding the whole day. In adition we had a perfect Thai dinner at our nice hotel.

Day 7 - Mae Ai - Pai - 270 km

What a day! Easy morning ride, than we had a challenging concrete road through the mountains , visited an elephant camp, had a great lunch at the coffee in the wild, swam under a waterfall, got to see the village of our local guide  Ping and last but not least we did the famous road of the thousand curves to Pai. Nightlife in Pai was also very nice.

Day 8 - Pai - Mae Sariang - 270 km

Today we did the road of the 2 thousand curves,  better known as the Mae Hong Son Loop. But  not only that, we also visited a Long Neck village by boat,  that was a special ecperience!

Day  9 - Mae Sariang - Chiang Mai - 280 km

Unfortunately our last riding day,  but it was not a boring one at all. We saw the highest mountain of Thailand, the  Doi Inthanon and also the biggest waterfall. And of course we had some spectacular roads.

We arrived safe at the hotel after sneeking through the chaotic city traffic of Chiang Mai in the heat. The first beer at the hotel tasted great! Now it is time to say good bye to a wonderful group. Hope to see you again soon!
