This motorcycle tour takes you to the most stunning fjords of South Norway. With more than 75.000 kilometers, Norway's coastal line marks one of the longest and most beautiful in the world. The reason for this is the famous fjords – sea arms which can reach inland for up to 200 kilometers.
The tour starts in Oslo, the capital of Norway and one of the smallest capitals worldwide. Through the wild and untouched Telemark region, we ride West, spending a night in a historic hotel in Vrådal before we reach the fjords one day later. Breath-taking scenery surrounds us as we cruise along the fjords or cross them via bridges or by ferry. Via Sogndal and Fjærdal we reach Jostedalsbreen National Park, home to continental Europe’s largest glacier.
This scenery will remind you of Antarctica! We’ll ride to Dalsnibba, Scandinavia’s highest road at 5,000 ft., cross the Geirangerfjord on a ferry. At the end of our tour, you can eventually enjoy the beautiful sunset in Ålesund, which you will never forget.

The daily riding kilometres are approximate distances and may vary. The first and last days mentioned in the itinerary are the arrival and departure days; there is no riding on these days. Bear in mind the time difference between your country of origin and your travel destination. Arrival time should be arranged before 3 pm on the arrival day. This is the route for the tour that starts in Oslo. If you choose to begin your journey in Ålesund, the itinerary will be reversed. Please book your flights accordingly. Route and overnight places may change due to unforeseen events.

Something about my recent The Viking Experience tour however has been different and special. It must have been a good combination of many different things. First of all my wife Hanna did agree to join me on this tour and I have been working hard to convince her ... :-). Our group did interact perfectly and our guide Manuel did do a great job - excellent bikers and great people. The main highlight was surely amazing Norway. The fjords, surrounded by wonderful mountains, the market in the port of Bergen and the Viking's ships are just a few of the wonderful things we experienced. I highly recommend this tour!
