Off-Road
These tours run on asphalt and unpaved roads. The lengths of dirt road sections vary from a few miles to a full riding day. Dirt surfaces are generally graded roads of good quality, but some areas will challenge riders with ungraded hard-pack with noticeable quantities of gravel and sand on top. Additionally, weather and road construction can create very slippery conditions. Constant and repeated off-road riding is physically very demanding and some days will require long hours in the saddle. You must, therefore, be experienced in riding on natural surfaces and single lane roads. Furthermore, riding two-up is not recommended on some of the off-road tours. Edelweiss recommends taking an off-road riding class before participating in one of these tours.
