Fall is coming and while many riders worldwide are winter proofing their bikes, we are getting together again for an unforgettable REUNION RIDE.
Come along and join us for our annual “Edelweiss Reunion Ride” (aka. Rendez-vous or "Feschtl") in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and/or in Paraty, Brazil. The areas we have chosen are great for motorcycling and include some of the best motorcycle roads in the world, like the famous "Tail of the dragon" or some hidden treasures in the back country of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. On both reunion rides in the US and in Brazil, we will enjoy fantastic scenery and incredible routes and the best is that we will ride with our friends - what else increases a motorcyclist’s heart rate? It doesn’t matter if you’ve been there before or not - you will be under the spell by the magic of these places.
For the first time you can choose if you only want to join us for the annual and legendary Reunion Ride on the weekend, or if you want to enjoy a week long ride with us. No matter what you opt for, the weekend or the tour and no matter if you choose the East of the US or Brazil, it will be an unforgettable time.
Enjoy pure nature and outstanding roads, and two nights in hotels with excellent amenities. If you’ve already toured with Edelweiss Bike Travel, you’ll likely enjoy a reunion with some of your tour buddies. And, even if you’ve yet to travel with the world’s #1 motorcycle touring company, this event provides a great opportunity to get to know some members of our Edelweiss team, learn about our touring program, and get answers to any questions you may have.
FRIDAY, September 30: Arrival & Welcome
The individual arrival of all Edelweiss friends will be on Friday afternoon. Many of our guests will arrive by motorcycle, so if you spot a biker on your way, you might see him/her again at the event. The official meet and greet will happen at dinner. You will certainly get to know everyone quickly. A couple of drinks at the bar afterwards will complete the warm welcome on the first evening together!
SATURDAY, October 1: Enjoy & Ride
After breakfast we start our daily program - finally it is time to go and explore the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. As you know, a daily briefing will introduce you to today’s route before we start our engines! Who would have thought, that this year's Reunion Ride will take us to the legendary Tail of the dragon? It is one of the world's most famous motorcycling routes and on every rider's bucket list. Following the old Cherokee trail, the 18 km long mountain road with its 318 curves will take us through the Appalachian Mountains. On this day we will do both: enjoy the twisties and conquer the curves, but also enjoy the gorgeous scenery the National Park has to offer. During our coffee and picnic stops we will rejuvenate and relax. Upon our arrival at the hotel, a cool and refreshing boot-beer is waiting for us, an inviting occasion to talk about today's adventures. At night we will then get spoiled with a delicious dinner and inspiring travel presentation.
SUNDAY, October 2: Is it really over already?
After such a great weekend, you will return home with new and fond memories. Enjoy your breakfast and some final conversations with your new friends. Then it is time to ride back home to your family and friends and tell them about your stories of conquering the Tail of the Dragon!
What is left to say is farewell: have a safe ride and we look forward to riding with you again soon!
And much much more!

The 2016 Edelweiss Reunion Tour starts in the capital of the United States: Washington, DC. The Capitol, the White House, the Smithsonian Museums – lots of interesting sights within a few miles! But for us motorcyclists, nature itself has even more to offer. Welcome to some of the best riding on the American East Coast. The Blue Ridge Parkway is the main attraction on this tour, with two more highlights at both ends: Shenandoah and Smoky Mountain National Parks! The twisty roads through breathtaking scenery will be our playground for this Reunion Ride.
Try to imagine riding through the spectacular colors of the autumn foliage, stopping in small, picturesque towns and visiting many landmarks of American history. Historic battlefields of the Civil War, wealthy mansions and interesting museums provide entertaining breaks. But the real highlight is yet to come: the Smoky Mountains with one of the World’s best motorcycle roads, the Tail of the Dragon! The weekend in the Smokies will give us the chance not only to ride the 318 curves – but we can also use the opportunity to meet fellow Edelweiss riders from all over the world!
