WORLD TOUR: Los Angeles - Panama City 1LP

Costa Rica   |  Guatemala   |  Honduras   |  Mexico   |  Nicaragua   |  Panama   |  United States

Panama – home to countless novels and films and one of the most important shipping canals in the world.

We will meet up with our Central-America riders in Panama City and head north, visiting the famous Miraflores locks along the way, of course!

Two days later we reach Costa Rica – one of the most beautiful countries on Earth. Riding along sections of the Panamericana we will spend some fantastic days along the Central American Pacific Coast. With a new country every two to four days, the hits just keep on coming: Nicaragua, with its colonial town of Granada; the ruins of Copan in Honduras; and the historical Antigua in Granada are all on our list!

Charming settlements and windy roads take us north to Mexico, our playground for the next two weeks. From there on out it’s a veritable list of “Must-See” attractions. Amongst these are the ruins of Palanque, the old town of Oaxaca and Guadalajara, the birthplace of the Mariachi. We will board the ferry at Mazatlan and cross over to Baja California. We will ride along the entire peninsula, from La Paz to Ensenada, in constant awe of a landscape that offers everything from sandy, sun-soaked beaches to scraggly bush that wouldn’t seem out of place in a John Wayne movie. After all, Arizona isn’t too far from here. But maybe we should leave that for the next section.

Speaking of not too far – can it really be true that our 40 days are almost over? San Diego, USA is just around the corner. That means there are only two more days of riding left. We use our last day on the road to tackle a section of Highway 1 and cruise through San Clemente and Laguna Beach all the way into Los Angeles. A fitting end to a fantastic section which leaves us hungry for more!
