Day 1 - Arrival in Castelldefels

The group of friends from Utah and Montana arrived some days earlier to explore Barcelona and Curtis even did the guided city tour...

Curtis in the Sagrada Famiglia
Local Market
Curtis in Casa Mila

Day 2 - Castelldefels - Avelanes - 380 km

A great first riding day with countless curves and beautiful scenery. This group can ride. We were lucky and had no rain. The highlights were the mountain range of Montserrat and the Col de Boixols. What a day!

Our group!
Cardona Castle
Boot beer time!

Day 3  Avellanes - Pamplona - 410 km

A very long and challenging day, but the group did really well. Several passes and countless curves to get to Pamplona,  the city with the world famous bull  run.

Day 4 - Restday Pamplona - 330 km

A real rest is not what the group wanted. They went for the full programm. A beautiful but challenging ride to San Sebastian at the Atlantic Ocean, where we had lunch.

Day 5 Pamplona - Luz le Saveur - 320 km

320 km or 200 miles does not sound much, but the amout of curves was just incredible. Great riding all day long and two major passes as the highlights,  Col de St. Pierre Martin and Col de Aubisque,  a famous Tour de France pass. All day sunshine and perfect road conditions,  what else could you ask for.

Day 6 - Luz le Saveur - Tarascon - 270 km

The shortest day by Kilometer, but 10 passes to climb. The moust famous one was the Col du Tourmalet,  one of the Tour de France passes. The unknown smaller passes were even more fun. And finishing the day at our beautiful hotel Manoir de Agnes with a beer was perfect.

Day 7 - Tarascon - Figueres - 370 km

Propabely the best riding day in motorcycle paradise. 11 passes and there was no lack of curves. Colada de Toses, the pass of the winds was for most of the group the highlight. Over 40 km twisties with great scenery and road conditions.

Day 8 - Figueres - Castelldefels - 350 km

Our last riding day in motorcycle paradise,  endless twisties and great scenery. A perfect ending. Thanks to a wonderful group. See you again!

When I heard Michael was our tour leader and the very same person who plotted the original course for the Pyrenees Extreme, I could not wait for the flag to drop. Every day unfolded to be challenging and amazing in the perfect combination. Edelweiss and Michael have set the bar incredibly high with an amazing trip, incredible details, and routes that were second to none. Special thanks to Michael, looking forward to another trip! Prost!

What an amazing ride! Michael was an awesome guide. I had no idea such twisty roads even existed, just a shame I have to go to the other side of the world to get to them. Every day was an adventure that only disappointed when it came to an end. First time in my life I’ve gotten arm pump on the street!
Cant wait to do it all over again.
