Kicking off the new season! After the successful selection date in November, eight new tour guides for Edelweiss will start into the 2022 season. First, the various departments are presented. The cumulative experience of what feels like thousands of years is conveyed to the newcomers by the trainers Tom, Gerhard, Flo and Markus. Dry legal texts on driving times and practical exercises for creating briefing flipcharts and for handing over the motorcycle alternate. At the end of the week, heads are spinning. In the next few weeks everything has to be internalized for the training tour, but it was also a lot of fun. Thank you for the exciting days!

Es geht wieder los! Nach dem erfolgreichen Auswahltermin im November starten acht neue Tourguides für Edelweiss in die Saison 2022. Zuerst werden die verschidenen Abteilungen vorgestellt. Die geballte Erfahrung von gefühlt tausenden von Jahren wird von den Ausbildern Tom, Gerhard, Flo und Markus an die Neulinge vermittelt. Trockene Gesetzestexte zu Lenkzeiten sowie praktische Übungen zum Erstellen von Briefing-Flipcharts und zur Motorradübergabe wechseln sich ab. Am Ende der Woche rauchen die Köpfe. In den nächsten Wochen muß alles für die Ausbildungstour verinnerlicht werden, aber es hat auch sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Vielen Dank für die spannenden Tage!

Part 2: The veterans join in / Teil 2: Die Veteranen kommen dazu

The program for the experienced tour guides begins on Friday afternoon with a voluntary technical workshop by the garage team and a presentation by the accounting department. After that everybody has the chance of getting to know the new colleagues for the first time. The following two days are used to refresh all known topics as well as a first aid training, which is mandatory for all tour guides.

 

Freitag Nachmittag beginnt das Programm für die erfahrenen Tourguides mit einem freiwilligen Technikworkshop des Garagen-Teams sowie eines Vortrags der Buchhaltung. Danach gibt es Pasta und ein erstes Kennenlernen der neuen Kollegen. Die folgenden zwei Tage werden zur Auffrischung aller bekannten Themen sowie einer ersten Hilfe Schulung genutzt, die für alle Tourguides verbinglich ist.
